Grateful, I am, for such a blessed cleansing rain last night that pulled the pollen from the air and refreshed my world.
This is a Spring for allergies.
Runaway sinus, beastly headaches,
sneezes to send the cat scampering,
coughing fits to torque the back so much
that only the magic of a therapist’s touch can ease.
But today, oh, today,
the world is freshly scrubbed,
with skies so clear and air so crisp,
cleansed by rain overnight.
Such blessed rain, bold with lightning.
An apology of sorts.
Rain that left behind air so pure and clear
it requires rejoicing and tributes,
and such offerings as I can make in gratitude.
