(they’re the same thing, really.)

More than one person? You’ve got a system. It may be a system of two – a couple, two siblings, best friends, uneasy enemies – or it may be a system of three, four, or thousands. Systems are couples, families, work teams, the whole organization, your city or state. Systems surround us everywhere we go.

Here’s the beautiful part:  At the heart of every system is relationship.

When I coach those systems, those relationships, my client is not one person or another, it’s the entity that’s created by their shared connection. What does the relationship know that the individuals don’t know? What “wants” to happen?

In short, I don’t coach the husband or the wife – I coach the relationship – the couple the two have created.  I don’t coach the boss or the trouble-maker or the star employee in the work team – I coach the entity that those three co-workers have co-created simply because they are in relationship. I don’t coach mom, dad, sis, or baby brother – I coach the entity that is “the family.”

Relationships. It’s all about relationships.
