I think Abraham Lincoln had it right. To be impeccable with your word is a pursuit worth a lifetime of effort. To plant flowers instead of thistles, to speak truth, to build up rather than tear down, to scatter kindness rather than hatred … all in the hope that it might take root in ourselves and eke out a toehold in the hearts of others.
