Grateful to discover Zentangle, a purposeful artistic meditation. A small square of paper, a very fine ink pen, and a pencil yield abstract black and white images. The process strengthens focus and concentration, but I think what it really does is quiet your mind and center your whole being. Plus it’s fun and, honestly, it’s resulting in really neat images, not to mention a new understanding of design and art.
I believe it breaks down the creation of an abstract piece of art into smaller, far less intimidating elements. Oh, there’s a lesson in there about tasks and goals and purpose.
