Some days are, well, pure crap. Today, I felt as though I couldn’t catch a break. Forced changes in plans created a headache, lots of tiny little jobs created a whirlwind of seemingly unessential busy work, the dog’s aging was vividly illustrated, and I’ll stop now because even I don’t want to rehash it all. Days like this are really tough for finding gratitude hiding in any corner. When I got home, morosely staring at a misbehaving computer, my eyes landed on my Phoenix necklace I’d hung on the lamp. Grateful for its message of rebirth, regeneration, and the knowledge that even from the hottest flames, something new arises.
