East meets West. The Wild West, that is, and the Far East.
I’m grateful for diversity today. Waiting for a table at the Chinese buffet, I glanced up at the light fixture — a quite Western wagon wheel — adorned with a delicate red Chinese mobile. And while my first inclination was to laugh at the absurdity of it all, I stopped. Because it sorta morphed into a representation of America — a melting pot — where East and West (and South and North) come together. We can coexist, and we can honor many different ways of being and many different styles of living. There it is! Gratitude.
