Rounding the corner on the homestretch of my two-hour drive home, this sky demanded that I capture, or at least attempt to capture, the stunning vista along the road. I obeyed, fully aware that cameras can never hope to fully represent what human senses experience.
Less than 60 seconds later, Charlie sent me a text message of the same sunset from his vantage point some 25 miles northwest. How curious, how odd. We snapped the same sunset at about the same time — miles apart yet infinitely connected.
I am grateful, today, for the threads, the similarities and, yes, the differences, that have woven and continue to weave our lives together.
